GCW Rating is 17,100#'s.
I have the Payload Package which is 1 step down from the Heavy Duty Package.

We saw it a few years ago while camping at the Jellystone campground in Missoula, MT. It may have been closer to the 10,000 lbs instead of 12 since it looked to be about 38’ long, Cedar Creek if I remember correctly. But, MN plates on it and an F-150 with a fifth wheel hitch in it parked in front of it. I still kind of wish I could have seen them go over Homestake pass by Butte -but from a loonnnggg ways behind...

Side note, but if anyone ever stays in Missoula, I would recommend Jim & Mary’s RV Park over Jellystone.

With your 38' Outback you have never towed it at that "9k dry weight"!!! Most "dry weights" posted on brochures or labeled on your rv are on the VERY conservative side so odds are very good your rv NEVER weighed only 9k, dry or otherwise, but much more.
The ONLY time it MIGHT have weighed that was the day it rolled off the assembly line. It has weighed somewhere in the 1200 to 2000 lbs neighborhood more than that "dry weight" the first time you loaded it to travel, putting you on the north side of 10k lbs easily, which also puts you in that same category you just mentioned.

Well did some research on the Keystone web site, looks to be a Cougar 344MKS, as it is the only model with that window between the slides.

Key specifications - 344MKS FIFTH WHEEL

Shipping Weight 10,686#
Carrying Capacity 1,874#
Hitch 2,165#
Length 38' 1"
GVWR Calculated 12,560#

Now a 38' 5er with only 1,874# payload would easily exceed that number.

Nope! Just my opinion from experience.
Yes! That's a nice looking setup, but if it's suppose to prove you're within weight limits, show us some pictures of your scale slips.

Wireman only post that people are over payload or need to scale.

SORRY!! It was a tongue in cheek comment. I have been around equipment, operated most any you can mention and have been a licenced Red Seal Automotive/Heavy Duty Mechanic for 60 years. So I do understand air bags and their purpose/use.

Well I see a lot of 5ers pulled/carried by F150 and Tundras, some are somewhat long, but very few look overloaded.
I have stated before much rather see a 1/2 ton towing a long 5er than a long TT, as long as it is in tire capacity, much more stable than long TT.
