What camera goes here

Can anyone tell me what camera I am supposed to (or can) put here to monitor what’s behind me?

any one you want. The only thing behind that little cover is a dead ended wire for you to connect to. I got a Yakry and it has done well. There are more expensive ones out there with maybe better picture, I don't know. Just sayin thats what I got but you can put any up there you want.

How did you seal it to make sure the mounting was waterproof? The bracket that comes with the yakry that I bought has lots of holes. It says its “furrion compatible”, but I don’t see a solid plate anywhere to seal so that water doesn’t get inside the house and cause problems.

Thanks for the response btw

John

The blank you are looking at is a match for the Furrion back-up or Furrion observation camera. But, as stated above, you can put anything you want there. The wires will most likely be wired into the running lights. So, for the camera to be active when towing, your vehicle headlights will need to be on. The monitor will most likely plug into your tow vehicle USB plug for power, or a cigarette lighter type plug. So the monitor will run from the tow vehicle, the camera from the lights on the trailer. Yes, when you unplug the lights from the truck, the camera goes off.

Your right. The yakry bracket is not a perfect fit. But none of them are. I found that one of the holes for my cover could not even be reused as the apparently whent a little overboard on tightening it. Anyway I just mounted it with new holes, new screws and used caulk to seal everything. The screws are easy, coat them with caulk before you screw in. The big hole was a bit more of a challenge but still very doable. It works.

try looking at camping world in the clearance section. I got mine there last year and it was like $100 discounted, and a couple weeks ago I noticed that they still had some on sale.
