You will find that any counterweight is almost negligible. On our Raptor, the Road King, with the side car weighs 1,070 pounds. It only took about 110 pounds off the pin weight. Yours would be about the same.

Drive it onto the CAT scale at the nearest truck stop and weigh it. It's only $10
Drive your truck back on within 24hrs and ask for a re-weigh. It's only another $2.
Go home and do the math. You'll then know exactly how much all your axles are carrying and how much your pin weight is. You won't have to guess and worry about guessing wrong. It's easy.

Yes, you CAN do something right now: That’s exactly what your doctor said to do. We’re glad you’re still with us and doing good.

You need to wait. Heal and get well and think about the issues you want to deal with...later. Questions arise when you're down so ask away - just take them all with a grain of salt and a big dose of patience. Godspeed in your recovery.

No problem. But do yourself a favor and get an upgraded leaf spring shackle kit with greaseable bolts and heavy duty equalizer. They only put weak 1/4” shackles on these toy haulers and they will break with the extra weight. Mine did and it bent the frame on my raptor
