Roof cleaning

Ok, been doing some resurch on here about roof cleaning, and im going to clean mine this weekend. I have decided to do the borox and blue dawn dish soap method. Question is what ratio are you guys using that use this method?

1/4 cup of outdoor bleach, 1/4 cup of dawn ultra blue in 1 gallon of water.

Thanks Chuckster, I did the dawn dish soap and borax mixture this weekend. It took off alot of dirt but cant say it looks clean. Not sure if i need to do it a couple times or not.

Did you use the liquid bleach or the powdered borax? There is a difference, and what you see may be spots that might never disappear.

Try it with the liquid “outdoor” bleach. I get it at Home Depot.

Ok, i will the next time i can get up there. What do you use to get rid of the black strips that are at the roof trusses?

The bleach will help but they probably won’t disappear. Don’t lose sleep over it.

Can anyone provide the ingredients for the equivalent roof cleaning mixture using cleaners available in Canada?

I use a mix of Dawn and Awesome Orange available at your local Dollar Store.
About 1/2 cup of each in a 5 gal bucket of water. Rinse thoroughly after scrubbing.
