Replacing scissor jacks

The ones got to where they wouldn't open already on a 3 year old trailer. Finally got the welds broke to replace. A couple of threads got messed up so I'm going to have to enlarge and rethread. Should these be rewelded? Neighbor is a welder so wouldn't be all that hard but wasn't sure the necessaity of welding them back up after replacing them.

We usually see two self tapping screws and one bolt with a lock washer and nut. I don’t see welding as a requirement.

The front 2 had 2 self tapping screws. The rear had 4. Rear had no way you get a bolt in the frame. Front would be easy but rear would be next to impossible.
