If you have recently had your battery or batteries disconnect and then you reconnected them, you probably hooked them up backwards. That is a very common happening (both fuses blowing) when the battery is connected backwards.

What Vern^^^said. Since you used your rig last, you (or someone, of course) has touched the wrong cable to the wrong post on one of your batteries. Other things are possible, but this is the most likely.

Highly unlikely a power surge on the a.c. side would cause the d.c. fuses to blow. A powersurge that great would take out several of the appliance control boards. Sounds like battery was connected in reverse. Anyone else work on your camper or the umbilical plug on the truck?

Life Happens... That's why we have fuses.
Same thing happened when we had or Cougar in for some minor warranty work. They had me come and pick up the trailer and the batteries were dead, way down on water and both 40a fuses blown. Svc. Mgr. got the full version of my disgust with their operation. He brought out 2 new batteries and fuses. Offered to have his tech install but I said I'd rather do it since their QC and attention to detail was a "little suspect" in my estimation. Been driving 50 miles further for warranty work ever since.
