Thetford foot pedal repair

The foot pedal on our Thetford toilet just popped off, and can’t seem to see how the spring goes back in. It also looks like the pedal just snapped into place, and is now worn, one year of full time use!!!
Is there a repair kit??

Well don’t worry, that thought has crossed my mind!! This foot pedal flusher is poorly designed and poorly built!

The foot pedal alone, & will fail again, is half the price of the much better Dometic. Just my .02 cents.

That ship us sailed!
Decision now is 310 or 320, and where to get the best price. Currently working without the spring, just need to lift with toe, so if shipping takes a few days no big deal.

We had the same problem about five years ago, about 2 in the morning. Bowl was filling and the flush valve was closed. Was finally able to wake up enough to stop the water flow. I was able to get a new pedal assembly about a week later, but it only lasted a few months until it started to fail again. Replaced it with a Dometic 310. The ONLY issue we’ve had was they didn’t install two screws in the back to secure the water valve in place, just relied on the plastic clips, and a couple years ago the valve started moving out of position. I was going to replace it until I discovered there were no screws where they should be. Installed two screws and it’s still working great. Might be something to check before installing a new Dometic.
