Ours has the outdoor fridge but has a snap-buckle strap holding it in place and keeps the door closed while on the road. I haven’t needed to adjust the thermostat (I just keep it on 4), but I agree that not having an easy way to turn it on/off or unplug it is a pain. I like the idea of a power strip, but I was thinking of pulling the outlet out and snaking a wire to the front of the compartment, cutting in a box and installing a switch where it is easy to get to. If I have time this weekend I will give it a go and post a pic if I have success
