'Skin' Maintenance

Bought our Hideout back in April and went out a few times over the summer/fall, but are now full timing! I want to keep the rig looking sharp...what is the best product to use on the front, sides/rear, and roof? I know if I go ask a dealer, they'd tell me their product...would rather hear from you experienced RVers! Do you use just regular old car wax on the front? It has lots of bugs and is starting to look ratty...can't have that! I know the whole outside needs something, but want to make sure I get the right stuff! Thanks in advance!

All I can say is: get on it and stay ahead of it. I let mine go too long and the south side got oxidized. I compounded it but it needs some more work. I use Meguiars Ultimate wash and wax, the yellow stuff.
I used Chemical Guys Boat Heavy Compound and a Porter-Cable random orbit buffer with Chemical Guys foam pads for compounding.
3M Marine Performance paste wax works pretty good on my front cap. The old Meguiars Liquid Cleaner Wax in the dark red bottle works if you use it 3-4 times a year.

Good quality wash, and high quality wax. I like NuFinish liquid, and I did use a protectant, called “trident”. I didn’t pay full retail, but after 5 years my trailer still looks real good.

There is a product called “nano cure” and it’s said that it guarantees the decals for 5 years.

This has worked great for me! The Alpine has been in all kinds of weather (-12* to 108*) since 2012 and look at that shine! This photo was taken just last week!

I have been using 303 on my TT every 6 months. The front area still looked a little oxidized after about 1.5 years, but it faces the sun in storage (not covered). I was able to buff most of it off.
