Is that like a boat? Ya know, happiest day when you buy it, and still happiest day when you sell it?

Nah, it was actually sad to see it go so quickly. Now we have to start looking for the class C.

I installed the progressive industries hardwired 50a EMS. It took a while to install it where I wanted it (behind the breaker box). I made a couple attempts to route the monitor in the same area as the fan/hot water heater controls. It was 95 degrees in the rv while I was working so I gave up. Tomorrow is another day.

We had a friend with a 3D printer create a mounting bezel for us, so we would be able to mount the display/control module flush with the wall along with the rest of the display/control modules in our trailer:

GMTA. I asked my son, who has a 3D printer, to make me a bezel, but apparently his expertise ends at finding existing patterns on the web and loading them. (A lot like the difference between a playing a piano and a player piano. )

But then my plans changed and I mounted it behind the breaker box instead of inside the mousehole, then decided the display box worked fine down near the breaker box, just as is. It's so optically loud, I don't have trouble reading it from anywhere in the room!

Awww don’t give up on the son,he will probably have it figured out in short order. Your encouragement may be the push he needs to jump up to the next level and he will have that printer mastered.

I created a bunch of measurements and a (hand-drawn) mechanical drawing of the display module and my co-worker worked on prototyping the bezel. It took three prototypes before we got the one we liked. He was very accommodating (I suspect because he was enjoying the challenge - and using the printer for more than just toys ).

Flush mount is pretty awesome and would allow for a bigger hole to fish the wire through. I have a buddy with a printer maybe I’ll ask him to help. What type of screws are you using it to mount? The wall is very thin.

Similar to what the other components are using. Simple wood screws with #2 Robertson heads.

China Bomb Repair

Got the Hideout back from the repair shop. Had to repair & replace the wheel well/fender liner some portions of the underbelly, inner storage floor & an outrigger thanks to a china bomb!

Dug out some of the old silicone and resealed a few places. Just slow getting started this year. Covid stuff, wife having eye surgery, has kind of taken some of the intensity out of getting ready this year.

Extended the LP quick connect 6” toward the edge of the trailer, and got some totes to help organize the 5er storage. Then gotta prep it for a trip.

DW cleaned out the rest of the camper last week and told me I was responsible for cleaning the shower floor. So, today, I hooked up city water, thru my water meter and pressure regulator set to 50 PSI. Cleaned the shower floor and the teak shower floor mat, then just let the water run. When the tank monitor showed 1/3 full, I turned off the shower and opened the bathroom sink taps and let it run. I now know which tank is filled by which tap, and I know which of my grey tank drains is tank 1 and tank 2.

Ordered and received a new water pressure regulator (Renogy) because I dropped the other and broke it! Also received some new dicor sealant for roof and windows. Time for the annual maintenance to begin. Getting the inside cleaned up for upcoming trip

Between the wife and I:
- de-winterized
- cleaned
- got it nice and level, and set the "null" on the leveling compy
- put contact paper over the rough, splintery master bed plywood
- moved our really nice King mattress into the master bedroom
- realized the bed frame wasn't a King size (despite what the dealer told us) and moved the mattress out again
- sweated, a lot
- put up homey touches and decor to offset the boring gray painted cabinets
- got entirely frustrated with the Jensen entertainment system
- put new mattresses on the "garage" bunks, which is going to be the boys' room
- put up blackout curtains in the garage for them
- moved all dual 6v battery prep (including the swanky box/filler/pump setup from another thread) into place
- tightened about 3 dozen loose screws, including a few that were stripped and/or sheared off
- started "moving in" a bit
- got tired and went swimming with the boys until the thunder scared us out of the pool

Still need to:
- install the batteries (after testing the boondock ability)
- get bedding into place, and puzzle out a temporary adjustable bed solution with pillows and such
- find a place to install, and install the hardwired 50a surge protector
- hit the scales, fuel up, fill empty propane tanks- not necessarily in that order
- install two more blackout curtains
- pull the plastic off the TVs and test all that
- troubleshoot an awning light that's not coming on
- install the TST 507 flow-through sensors, and evaluate the need for the repeater
- figure out how to open the garage door, and use all the garage/deck barriers
- come up with a cat ladder so our FIVE CATS can access the tiny loft area
- find some MaxxAir2 vent covers in smoke (why are these so scarce??!) and install them
- evaluate the master bedroom for a King upgrade, and maybe a real adjustable bed frame
- figure out where everything goes! Our prior coach had TONS of underbody storage. This one, not so much.
