Extension cord is doable. I just kept mine as a spare

Generally, the kits come with an end you put on your original cable that you have now cut off. Anyone who purchases the complete new cord could definitely make an extension cord out of the original by adding a female end to it. They do sell the ends at my local Lowe's and Home Depot... or available online.

The kit I bought reuses your existing cord. Remove the existing mouse hole cover (3 screws), pull all the cord out, cut the cord about 12-18” away from the side of the camper, slide a new backing plate and gasket (I used butyl putty tape instead) over the cord, screw to side of camper (same 3 screws), strip cord end coming out of camper and attach to new outlet cover, screw outlet cover to mounting plate attached to camper, strip end of existing power cable where it was cut from the camper (existing male end is untouched), connect cut end to new twistlock plug and screw together. Attach your now removable cord to camper outlet, plug other end into power source, and you are done. When breaking camp, unplug from power, twist to disconnect from camper, coil it up and toss it into storage compartment.

Regarding the shore power conversion, I used the shore power conversion kit from Marinco. That system reuses the original power cord, you put the new end on the old cord. It works great and was pretty easy to do.

What did I do? Swapped Thermostat.

My Bullet Crossfire (2200BH) has all the nice LED toys and conveniences, but came with an analog black thermostat, which almost always hurts to switch on and off. Yesterday night I had enough, and swapped in a cheap small Honeywell Thermostat. Temperature is accurate to 1 degree, rather than 5 degrees from the old one, which saves propane, and increases our comfort!

We had to use the furnace last week (Thursday) in Ontario Canada when the temperature dropped to 11C.

I installed a Stromberg Carlson bunk ladder. Our Bullet 243BHS didn't come with a ladder at all. Though my son can climb like monkey, I should have done this a long time ago.

We did the same thing recently, great ladder (even holds my fat butt when our daughter forgets to close her window).

So I had a 3 foot piece of 3/4 galvanized pipe and spike off an old water sprinkler so bolted on the pipe and made this. Flag pole is 1 inch water pipe. Works really good easy to put in ground and take out. It's real sturdy. Repurposed my to small of sewer line tube to hold flag and pole

Had some water get in and had to replace some of the OSB flooring so I took up the old vinyl flooring and replaced with vinyl plank flooring from Menards. Sure hope it holds up. Not sure I have enough patience to do it again Click image for larger version

I received and installed replacement parts for my ProPride hitch that the dealer silently left off when he originally installed it, and got the hitch properly re-centered. I fabbed up a PVC prop for the underbed hatch whose gas springs I recently uprated almost but don't quite hold up the plusher mattress DW wanted.

Took it to the dealership to check the electrical/battery. (Under warranty still).

Haven't been able to take our maiden voyage yet and was planning on heading out last Friday. DW tripped, ended up in ER, sprained ankle and bruised her knee, cancel that trip. But had the FW hooked up to 110v from Tuesday to Friday morning, cooling the fridge in preps for our trip. When I disconnected the power, noted the battery was extremely hot. 5 hours later, auto store confirmed nothing wrong with the battery and it was still hot to the touch. Called the dealership and dropped it off morning.

Was running 110v shore power, nothing on but the fridge. Inverter for the fridge was off.

-Installed LED strip on a door switch in the pantry.
-Installed a Q3.0 dual USB charger, extra 12v socket and voltmeter.
-Finally remembered to put thumb-turn hose clamps on my water bandit. Every single time I use it the pressure pops it apart.
-Aired tires, checked appliances, and turned on fridge in prep for going to Humboldt redwoods and on into Oregon.

Hit a frost heave and had a fire pit grill bounce up and pull my emergency break away brake cable at highway speed. Took a mile to find a safe place to pull over.
Guess I'm pulling wheels to check the damage to the brakes.
Find a new place to clip break away cable. Was using rear box tie down loop.
As a side note, GM truck immediately gave a service trailer brake, would provide no output to trailer brakes. Took a while to clear this, not sure what did it, expect it was time. Shut down for the night, tried truck restart, disconnect and reconnect 7 pin cord. Next morning all was good ( except for some glazed brakes).

Added a flag mount to the pin box for when Im set up, not for travel, added a decal for the USA states map, added some easy access items to the basement storage, and loaded a 14.5ft kayak inside the 12ft garage.

The idea came from another thread but I finished installing a carrier for the sewer drain pipe on my 5th wheel toy hauler today. There are doors on both ends just in case.

Really wanted to get that pipe out of the basement. I'm quit pleased with the result.Click image for larger version
