back up camera

I just bought a Haloview back up camera that I am going to install on my 2015 Cougar 24RKSWE. I am planning on placing it above the middle running light in the back and wire it to that light. My question is when drilling a hole to feed the wire from the camera down to the running light is there room behind the back wall to do this? I would hate to drill the hole and find I cant feed the wire down to the running light. Has anyone installed one on a Cougar. If so any tips would be greatly appreciated before I start drilling!

Thank you,
Mike

Can't you just notch the bottom of the lens cap?

I would pull your running light and inspect what is behind there. Can you fish a wire upward or downward? Beats cutting a hole for the camera first and find out you can't!

I would suggest you rethink mounting a camera ABOVE the running light. The camera "looks down" and will have to "look through" and overcome the light's glare. Typically, mounting below the middle running light will give better performance and a much more "distinct image", especially at night.

Thank you for the suggestion. Have you heard of any problems connecting to the monitor with it being lower?
