Thanks Lynette. I guess the cold climates call for special building techniques. I still have family in Minnesota and Wisconsin. My grandfather came and homesteaded in Canada in the 1890's as a young man.

If you come to Alaska you will see that Tyvek is a siding/paint choice on alot of buildings especially in remote places as blue tarps are also roofing material

Last fall when we were in New Orleans, there were still "blue tarps" on houses (and even some commercial buildings) in the city from damage during Katrina. So what you see in Alaska "spans the nation, from North to South".....

John,
I just wanted to throw in a little humor, Kind of suprises me that NOLA is like that almost 14 years later. I did vehicle recovery down there for insurance companies after Katrina. A lot of our work was around Gulfport and Slidel but we also went in to some parts of NOLA.

Remember that home insulation has a paper moisture barrier facing the inside of the house to prevent moisture laden air from inside to come in contact with the outside exterior wall to prevent condensation. Old but simple theory that applies here. Some how inside moisture laden air is getting into the wall.

HAd the same issue in 4th winter we've full-timed on a 2014 Montana. (ohio winter, 20 to -10 degrees) Condensation on the bedroom bump-out walls dripping down into the carpet, musty smelling, et al.

I added extra sheet insulation to the outside walls AND put containers of DampRId next to problem areas. No condensation now.

Boy, this is simple. Get another trailer. You aren't going to resolve the issue.
