Hello from lower Alabama, my wife and I are going to take delivery on a new Cougar 368mbi in a couple of weeks. I was wondering if there was anything on this model that needed extra attention on the pdi. Thanks in advance.

general advice. have extra plug ins and hoses/connectors. probably have 2 12 volt batteries or 2 6 volt batteries.
do a long walk through with the service people...list everything that needs to be corrected. if major issues do not accept the trailer until corrected.

Is this your first trailer? If so, keep in mind it ain't a car or truck. When you buy a car or truck, it comes with a 700 page owners manual that has full directions for EVERYTHING on the vehicle. A trailer, not at all. The owners manual could be written for a trailer made by some other manufacturer and beyond tons of safety warning, there is little SPECIFIC info. You will also get manuals for all the major components and these will be generic and cover almost all components made by the manufacturer so may be hard to get info you need.
What you won't get are how to operate things and where things are. Make them show you where the water pump is located, where the water heater bypass for winterizing is located and how the antenna/cable hook ups are done. That sort of thing; turn on the gas and light the stove so you know how the gas works. The water heater on an upscale model will run on propane and electricity (110V) so make sure they show you where and how to work both sides. Keep in mind if the hot water tank is empty, the electricity shouldn't be turned on and the propane started. Have them show you the replaceable anode location if it is a Suburban water heater and where the heating element is located as well as the thermostat resets. Have them show you exactly how you would retract the side(s) if there is no power and you need to get home.
Probably left out a ton of things but take notes as you will forget. You will have a hard time determining if you will have water leaks unless they fill the water tank and pressurize the system. After pressure in the system, perhaps look under the sinks and at the water pump, etc. Last, make them show you where the water tank dump valve is as well as the gray and black water tank dump valves are located.

This will be my our fourth rv we currently have a wildwood la fifth wheel. I'm unfamiliar with keystone products namely their cougar fifth wheels. I have really appreciated the advice and insights.

My last trailer was a Wildwood 5ver as well and I suspect the things I mentioned are pretty much what I would do myself regardless of trailer brand. The FR Wildwood I had didn't have an electric heating element in the hot water heater; in fact, I had never owned any trailer with a hot water heater and was surprised to find I owned one with the Cougar although my element and switch were fried. I also changed both thermostats to 140 degrees as the missus is fussy about lukewarm showers.

Hi welcome to the forum from NW Ohio. Some people think LA is on the west coast. LA is a bunch east of there.
