Newby to RVing

I have been reading all your great tips for awhile now but this is my first post. We are brand new to RVing, we bought a 2014 267 BHSSR 28' Springdale lst winter that had been wrecked on the way from the factory to the first dealer. We bought it from a private party that bought it online as a flip. We got a great deal on the trailer and we are loving it so far. I pull it with a 2013 1500 Silverado with the HD towing package and a 5.3 vortec engine. We have made 4 trips in it so far and are going on a rally trip with some friends to Branson Mo. in Oct. I am already planning some mods but I am doing a lot of reading first. This site has been a wealth of information to me and I appreciate everyone's patience with us newby's.

Welcome, enjoy the new set up and Branson. We went there for the first time last summer, had a good time, just a bit too busy/crowded. We really enjoyed Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede. If you go there make sure you go hungry because the food is great and never stops coming.

Welcome! Branson is nice this time of year and not near as busy as the summer months. The trick to Branson is to stay OFF OF 76 hwy (Main drag). Utilize the color routes (red blue etc) and learn the back way into places as almost all of them have a back entrance and the traffic is manageable. We live about 1.5 hours from Branson and frequent there and Silver Dollar City a LOT. We are looking forward to using the KOA down there now that we have the fifth wheel and don't have to stay in hotels or travel back and forth daily

We stayed at the KOA in Branson in '09. Wonderful park, great hosts. You can book shows in the clubhouse and we only paid $5.00 for them to drive us to/from the park and show.
