OR HWY 58 to Crater Lake

Hi all!

To all Oregon HWY pros: we're heading out to Crater Lake soon and looking to take HWY 58 to HWY 97 S as we'll be coming from the Portland area and staying north of the park. Smooth sailing, or any other preferred routes?

Appreciate any insights!

That is a scenic route. If you want to get there faster, I-5 to Roseburg to SR 138. It's been a few years since the last trip on 138 but it maybe a steeper grade than 58.

Yep, I will go down on I-5 if you want to get there in a hurry or faster, I've been there once we went down to Medford, OR to get there.
