Pick the one that has what you want color, interior & options. If the same get the newest one.
Or just go get a Duramax.

Keith, did you go for one of those or are you still looking newer one ton DRW are a rare breed. The one I found that fit my needs was over 300 miles away. It had a higher trim than I was looking for but the price and condition were what I was looking for.

Nothing yet. No rush, still winter here in Pa! Leaning toward Ford because that is what I'm familiar with. Have to take a look at the Rams and Denali.

My hunt lasted a bit more than two months, looked and walked away from a couple. Even after a two or three hour drive, you will know when it is the right one.

I'm assuming these are both 6.7 diesel? (I wouldn't buy an F350 DRW with a gas engine - not sure it's even offered.) The 2017 diesel has a listed torque of 925, the 2016 has listed torque of 860. I think they are both 440 HP. Ford has continued to tweek the engine tuning and/or improve the turbo every since they introduced the 6.7 (in about 2012).

We purchased a used 2017 F350 DRW XLT with 30K miles and absolutely love it. As other have stated, it isn't fancy, but we bought it for capability! Our GCWR is over 27K and it pulls like a dream. It will go just about any speed you want (and are willing to feed it).

I don't think you can go wrong with either rig.

One more thing to consider is the ‘17 may have a much larger fuel tank. If I remember right the ‘16 I had came with a 36 gallon tank and the ‘17 came with the 48 gallon tank. I think the ‘17 was the year of the new aluminum body if that matter to you.
