Nice RV Parks within 3-4 hours of central SC

If you have some favorites, add to the list. Looking for some destinations this spring and summer within easy range of central SC area (200-250 miles).

My easy day drive favorites so far

- Rivers End RV Park Tybee Island GA
- Mama Gerties RV park near Asheville, NC
- Billy Dreher State Park on Lake Murray, SC
- Hilton Head RV Resort near Hilton Head SC
- Ocean Lakes Family Campground at Myrtle Beach

Bolding Mill Campground on Lake Lanier, GA is one of our favorites. Most sites are waterfront. Very clean.

I should not tell because it will fill up and I won't be able to get in...lol. Carrollwoods CG at Grapefull Sisters vineyard outside of Tabor City NC. Quiet park in the trees far enough away from Myrtle Beach to make a day trip there if you want or go to Wilmington if you want to. Calabash is about 20ish miles for great seafood right off the boat. PLUS they have wine tastings daily and a swimming pool if that is your thing too.

If you like the Myrtle Beach area, but don't want the crowds or "can't even open your awning" sites, then try Willow Tree campground in Longs.
It's about a 15 minute drive to the beach and all the action, but has huge sites, it's own fresh water lake and super-friendly staff.
I spent 2 weeks there this past October and would Highly recommend it.

Myrtle Beach Travel park - great beach access. There is a "preserve" north of the campground so it is condo free for at least a mile. Nice pull through sites with a little 10X12 shelter. Not as "busy" in the spring - does get pretty busy in the summer. The park is well maintained and we never had issues with our neighbors. No motorcycles are allowed in the campground - bikes are parked by the office. We like the spring and fall best. We winter there for 2 months - Feb and March. Spend a couple of weeks in Oct. and store the RV via the campground. Don't like to pull the RV from upstate NY to SC in Jan/Feb.

Give it a try in the spring and then you will see if you like it. MB Travel Park is closer to North Myrtle beach than the "city" of Myrtle Beach.
