cabinet door latch
I have owned two FWs from Keystone. I have a problem with the cabinet doors flying open (even when the cabinets are empty). Then they get caught in the slides as they go out once we are at camp. I have tied some with cords but others do not have a place to tie to.
I know this must have happened to many of you since it has happened to me in two units Alpine and Montana. Does anyone have a good solution?
Thank you

I read about the dreaded doors open and slide ripes them off so I always tie the handles together with these cheap tarp bungees. The doors may pop open but stay enough shut to let the slide in/out. So I just pull the camper out off the shed, pretty flat, and 1 time a door pops open and ripes off. Got it fixed but these are on 24/7 even when moving 100'.

I added an extra roller catch to each cabinet in the rear of the rig which seems to have helped 90% of the time.
Another thing I have learned is to open the slide enough to squeeze by the island, and walk to the back to visually check things. Sometimes things on the floor get behind the trim on the slides while traveling. I've never lost a cabinet door yet, but I have bent the trim, so that's my solution to the problem.

You could change to these:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06VXCLL9H...a-305072622409
They come in both 5 and 10 pound pull force.

I use the ties on the handles when there are opposing handles to tie to but the single cabinets are a problem.
Thanks for all your input.

I can tell you the Southco latches hold pretty darn good!

X2 to Movin’on. I do the same thing. Open the living room slide on my 327RES just enough to squeeze by and check. Lost a drawer last year on a trip to Myrtle Beach. Lucked out though as I ordered one at the Camping World and they never charged me for it. Shocked! Anyway, before I close up to travel I double check that each drawer is secure and use my daughters’ hair ties to secure the cabinets.
