New Member from the Finger Lakes

Hello everyone. I am obviously a new member that resides in the Finger Lakes in New York. Canandaigua to be exact. I am 32 and my wife and I recently upgraded our 1992 Jayco Eagle 265FS to a 2010 Hideout 30BHDS to accommodate our growing family. My current TV, and current daily driver, is a 2013 F-150 4x4 SCREW Max Tow that gets used for work (towing and hauling). I have already been back and forth with people of the "you need a 350/3500 DRW to tow that" and "I could tow that with my Toyota Tacoma" so no real need to rehash it here, unless there was advice on how to best equip my current truck and trailer.

I look forward to learning everything I can learn and helping others in the process!

Congrats on the upgrand good luck th the towing, hope it works out. Towed with a 150 for a few years and all was good. Upgraded for a different reason and all if better. Enjoy and get out there.

Welcome to the forum, I'm from Ohio and have always wanted to visit the finger lakes, but it is such a large area, I don't know where to start and where to stay. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the welcome!

For the Finger Lakes, a good place to start in my opinion is Keuka Lake State Park. Good access to wineries and the sites are spacious (some electric, no water/sewer sites). There are some cool Amish stuff to check out too (The Windmill is one) near Keuka.

Another State Park, no quite in the Finger Lakes but a good trip, is Letchworth State Park. It has a huge gorge (Grand Canyon of the East).

x2 on Keuka. Just make first trip there this weekend-great park. The Finger Lakes parks in our opinion are a step above New York Parks to the East in the 'ammenity' category. Hard to compete with the natural beaty of the Catskills or ADK parks though.
