The Xlite is the 'eastern' line & built in Indiana, Keystone's original plant location. The 1/2 tons Series is the 'west coast' line built in Oregon since 2009.
The letters 'WE' at the end of the model # indicates that it's a 'west coast' model. Only certain trailer lines/brands are built in Oregon, and this plant typically
supplies the western dealers in the U.S. & Canada. The Indiana plant supplies the eastern 2/3 of U.S. & Canada... not all Cougar models are available from
both plants. Generally speaking, purchase is based on the buyer's location - western residents buy the 1/2 ton series & central/eastern residents buy the Xlite.
As already noted, the weights/measurements can vary from east/west on some floorplans -- the differences (if any) are most likely due to the 2 distinct
front caps, and possibly also due to the supplies/materials used. It's probably more cost effective to use a local (Oregon) supplier than to ship items from
Indiana, simply to achieve identical weights.
Hope this helps & happy shopping.
