2013 Laredo 303TG

new member here, just purchased my trailer March 20, 2013. Although it is supposed "glacier package" it seems i have quite a bit of work to make it so to my comfort.

Good thing i am handy enough to do the work that is needed for the extreme cold temps of Rainbow Lake, Alberta.

Other than water issues, absolutely loving the room and layout of the trailer, but i guess i'll have too, as i'm living in it full time time for my job up here.

Hopefully spring comes soon so i can start my modifications i'll need to do.

to the forum and to the Keystone family. It sounds like you're putting your "glacier package" to the test. We have one member that did extensive modifications to his RV much as you're looking to do. Check out his experiences and I'm sure you'll find a wealth of information so kindly offered from the "school of experience"

Here's a start: http://www.keystonerv.org/forums/showthread.php?t=5843

Good luck with your RV and with living full time in it way up there.

Welcome to the forum - Nice to have you with us !

We used our RV for 1 1/2 years while traveling the country and then living on our property fox six months till our house was done. We did a few mods to make it more comfortable. Not living anywhere in extreme weather for too long. We moved every 4-5 days but saw lots of days/nights of snow.

We ended up skirting our RV on our property as we were getting temps in the teens all the time......It did help definitely.

Good luck,

Jo

Welcome to the group. As you are finding out RV makers use marketing terms like "Glacier Package" very loosely.

We have a Laredo 305TG as well. We love it. Though not in AK, we experienced an usually cold period here in Northern VA recently. With the cold climate package we stay nice and warm.

Congrats and good luck!

Thanks for the welcome

Thanks for the welcomes. The mods i plan are moving city water connection to under belly(helps when skirting trailer), adding heat trace to ENTIRE water system and tanks and valves (have access to miles of heat trace up here), insulating underbelly, and electrical mods. Seeing as trailer will be parked here for awhile skirting will also be added.

will post pics as i progress in modifying "Glacier Package" to what i actually need.

Good thing i don't mind doing the work as there isn't much to do up here in the evenings.

We are out in eastern Canada (maritimes) and looking at buying the exact same trailer so I'd be curious what you end up doing to it for mods.

I'd love to see some pics as well if you wouldn't mind posting them as well.

Can I ask what you paid for it out west?
