Thanks Chuck
That's the answer if I need one, and I might.
The questions was how do Tbos and myself tell if we already have the soft start kits installed on our newer model trailers? (2019 for him and 2017 for me) Where would that part be located?
Thanks
RMc

Just watched a video on install. I now know what the part looks like and where to find it. Looks easy to install if I do not have one already.
Thanks ChuckS.

What did you search to find that particular you tube video? If you get up on the roof and open up the ac take pictures.

Found the video at:

https://video.search.yahoo.com/yhs/s...0a&action=view

The one I watched was: "Installing a hard start kit on a Dometic AC"
Did not look to difficult at all to install, If you have one. after watching the video you should easily be able to identify if the unit is installed,

Thank you guys again for all the great information! I have just ordered the Coleman hard start kit from ebay for $20.50. I have a Dometic A/C as my front A/C but doubt if I need to run it while on generator power.

I got on top of my rig to check the Dometic AC for a hard start kit and there were the words "Coleman-Mack" staring at me on the back of both my AC units. They both appear to be the same size so I am guessing they are both 15K,I will be reviewing the trailer specs to verify.
So I will have to review the info on that brand to see if I have the hard start kits installed. I hope the install on this brand is as easy as it looked on the Dometic.

I think you have the Coleman MACH. Depending on the size, 13,500 or 15,000 it could be the Mach III or 5. They have started making a "power saver" version of the Mach III. Much lower starting amp draw.

Are you MACHing my words?
Yeah I saw the spelling error in my subsequent research. Thanks for the correction.
Looks like I will have to get on the roof again and remove the cover to see exactly which model I have and if it is equipped as you stated. Just normal trailer owning stuff. Always a challenge.
Thanks
RMc

Update: Found the brochure for my 5er. It shows the standard AC as 15K and the bedroom unit (optional) as 13.5K. Mach III or 5 with "power saver" is still to determined.
