Hurricane Harvey help

I'm from near La Grange Tx and I'm involved in the ongoing relief effort here. One affected business here is an RV park. As I was talking with the owner this week discussing the relief effort he told me they are financially on "the brink". Two ralleys this year have cancelled on him. While there is still debris and some trailers that have to be removed a lot of the park is open and well. I thought that I could put it out there in the chance some one may be headed this way and could stop off in LG to support this park and who knows maybe volunteer to help me with relief work.

Hurricane Harvey help

My son spent some time helping with some clean up efforts in that area. It’s unbelievable how much damage was done. I hope the CG holds on long enough to finish getting cleaned up and profitable.

Did he work with the La Grange Area Disaster Recovery Team? I'm the volunteer and construction coordinator so....he may have worked with me.

Didn't even realize they were hit that hard, we stay there every time going through the area, have stayed several times. It is/was a very nice well maintained park. Unfortunately not coming through til this fall, hopefully it's still operating then.

They had it pretty bad, they had about 12' of water in the CG. They also took on a lot of debris from the adjoining trailer park. I think they ended up with a couple of trailer houses that weren't there before the flood. Holler when you get this way. I live about 10 miles down the road.

I’m not sure exactly where he helped. He coordinated through the Cajun Army.

Wow! That was a lot of water! Never would of dreamed the river would ever get that high to have 12' in the park. Hope they survive, we have friends in La Grange is our reason for stopping on our way by.

This flood was the third highest on record. It created at 54.5'. The last time the river was that high was in 1913 which was prior to the upstream dams.
