Roof tape

Was wondering what's the difference between Eternabond and Dicor tape? Are they used for the same purpose?

From reading the descriptions, they both appear to do the same thing.

That's what I was thinking, but is one"better" than the other. Is there anyone out there that has had experience with both?

I agree. Eternabond tape is normally stocked at most RV parts stores and is available locally for most people. DICOR tape is not stocked, at least not around here, and is a special order (more time and more expense) so not normally used.

For me, based on the very little I know about DICOR tape, I'd suspect that the comparison is much along the same lines as asking, "Which is better, Cheer or Tide?" My answer: Whichever you prefer, they do about the same thing and in the same way.

I have used Eternabond but not Dicor. Looking at their descriptions and application videos they appear to be the same thing. As was pointed out, I can find Eternabond at the RV dealership but I've not ever seen the Dicor product. I'm sure you can get it online as that's where it seems you have to go more and more for specific products.

I forgot to mention that there are a lot of "off brand" EPDM repair tape products available. Lowe's, for instance, has several EPDM repair tapes. Some are suitable for EPDM used in S&B roofing, but not suitable for TPO roofing used on an RV. So, even though you didn't specifically ask about "other brands of roof tape" I wanted to mention that there are several that aren't really intended to be used on an RV roof and some are even detrimental to an RV roof.
