Greetings

From Friendship Maine
Bought our first-ever camper yesterday (forgot to give my dear wife a card, but I closed on a nice camper for us). No camping experience except backpacking in our younger days. This should be more comfy.
We did ocean cruise a lot in years past, mostly on the Maine coast and once to Bermuda, so living in small spaces with things that break gives us a taste of what I think trailer camping might be like.
I have loads of experience hauling a 24’ enclosed race trailer around eastern US and Canada and hope to be equally comfortable with our new Cougar.
Plan is to camp in Maine for 2 weeks this June, then see the American Southwest during January/February in future years.
Excited and grateful to be joining the community.
Me, my wife Joanie, and Daisy, our golden retriever.

Welcome and congrats on your new coach. My wife was elated 2 years ago on our anniversary when I surprised her (and the kids) with a shiny new house on wheels. I made sure I included the "big bow and card".

You're right, it a major step up in creature comforts. Who doesn't like to have their own personal bathroom to shower in and bed to sleep on when traveling...

We've just booked a 2.5 week trip up through your neck of the woods (Bar Harbor) and into Nova Scotia for mid/late July. Can't wait to explore the North east with the family as it's the only part of the country I've never been to.

Welcome again...and safe travels.

Welcome to the forum Rick and Joanie and congrats on the trailer. You are going to make some great memories! Have fun And safe travels! I have great memories of Maine as 2 of my sons were born in Machias as I was in the Coast Guard at Station Jonseport. Beautiful area, but the winters were long! Lol Loved the fresh lobster and seafood from the co-op too!
