Hello from Colorado!

Greetings from Colorado! I am the proud owner of a 2010 Keystone Laredo 305TG 5th Wheel. Bought it last spring and had good times last summer. I pull it with a 2007 GMC Duramax that has tunes, exhaust, intake etc., parts to make it breathe up here in the altitude.

As for the trailer, I can't leave anything well enough alone, story of my life. I like to make things “my own” with customization. To aide me in my boondocking camping style (trailer has never been to an RV park or campground with hookups!) I plan the following upgrades this spring:
1. Windy Nation or Renogy 200W solar system, MPPT controller
2. 2 (or maybe 4) new 6V deep cycle batteries
3. 1500-2000 watt inverter

I look forward to the hours of reading on the forum.
Cheers!

Howdy! (can't say HI in Colorado anymore 'cause someone might be).

We are from Cedaredge, CO on the western slope. Currently in Tonopah, AZ for one more month.

You can't go wrong with Windy Nation. I have used their 500w wind generator. That thing really works. Be sure and do lots of research on installing solar and use the largest wire you can handle. I'm a firm believer in using both wind and solar if you are going to be out for long periods.

We gave up boondocking as we got older. Now we camp with two other couples in organized RV parks.

.
The Windy Nation products do look pretty appealing to me. Good call on the wire gauges, i'm going to use the biggest that will fit into the controller and inverter.

Congrats and welcome.
We just purchased and are waiting for our first venture.
I have LOTS of family ranging from Grand Junction to Denver. We will be planning a trip there as soon as possible. Missed our family reunion last August in Grand Junction.

Welcome to the forums, I have seen wind turbine generators mounted in AZ on rvs. I'm a firm believer of solor and that is on my list of wants. We really had a good time CO beautiful country around Ridgeway.
