Food for thought:
Not all campgrounds allow 24/7 use of generators. For example, here in New York, the DEC campgrounds in the Adirondacks and Catskills only allow 2 hours in the morning (9 to 11) and 3 hours in the afternoon (4 to 7.) That effectively eliminates use of the air conditioner in the hottest part of the day which, in turn, decreases the need for much more than a Honda 2000 or equivalent.
We spend at least 30 days a year in the Adirondack campgrounds so our Honda eu2000 serves us very well. We can keep the batteries charged up fine on 5 hours a day plus we can use the microwave or DW's hairdryer. TV reception is non-existant in much of the park, so that's not a concern either.
Everybody's needs will be a bit different of course, but things like this should be considered when planning a generator purchase.
