Hi all,
We took possession of our brand new Summerland 2020QB a couple of days ago
This is not our first travel trailer. We had a used Dutchmen for a few years. We also rented a motorhome in Alaska a couple of years ago and had a fantastic trip.
We had a bumpy start with this new one. Our RV dealer found that the fresh water tank had a hole in it (!) but didn't bother to tell us until we finished paying our money and went out for the inspection. Then they generously offered to patch the tank and allow us to bring the RV back when the new tank arrived.
We refused to take possession of a brand new RV with a patched water tank and had to wait two weeks for the new tank to arrive and be installed. I had lost confidence in the dealership and so just had the trailer delivered to my home. I have it hooked up to 30 amp power, city water, and sewer and am working my way down the inspection checklist - very useful!
We like the trailer a lot, especially the huge rear windows. The workmanship has been decent so far with no major findings. I applied Dicor to a few spots on the roof that looked like they could use some reinforcing.
Now we are equipping the trailer and looking at upgrades to the shower head, etc.
Fun times!
