New SE Michigan member checking in

Hello everyone,
I'm quite excited to be here.

My wife and I have been trailer camping with our 2 sons since our oldest was 3. We tent camped prior to buying our pop-up from my in-laws.

2 years ago we upgraded to a Coachmen Apex 151RBX hybrid. While it was nice to have our own bathroom, this wasn't really what we wanted. We were limited by our previous tow vehicle, a 99 Chevy Blazer.

Last November we traded in a failed attempt at a better truck (95 3/4 ton suburban money pit) and picked up a 2011 Chevy Silverado CC/SB.

Last Saturday we went to the MARVAC Camper show in Flint, Mi. As you all know, the rv show is a dangerous place for those with and itchy wallet and strong desire for an upgraded camper. We put a deposit on a new Cougar 31SQB. The dealer didn't have one in stock with the interior we like so it'll be a few weeks before "ours" comes in.

Which is fine, I need some time to get the right spring bars for my SwayPro hitch (1500# as recommended by BlueOx) and a few other items that a dual axle trailer needs. I also need to upgrade our storage yard spot due to the 2x increase in size.

I can't wait to load up and head out this year.
