Alpine 3400RS

Well our long wait is over and we finally have our new trailer in the laneway.

It was a long day from 9 am till 4 pm doing the PDI and paper work. PDI went

really well only issues is I didn't like the 4k TV in the trailer so they swapped it

with the one out of my old trailer that took an hour as they had to change mounts

as well. Now we have a 4K smart 55 inch.

Next big issue was I had the new trailer in my name but old trailer in HW name so

we had an hour and a half waiting to get that sorted out at the licence bureau.

Unfortunately there was an hour of driving between dealer/ service yard and

licence bureau. Took about an hour as well to adjust hitch and pin box. Guy did

a great job and everything sits level. My new F350 tows it like a champ. We had

to cross over all the stuff out of old trailer to the new one. We kinda just put

everything in so will need to sort that all out. will post better pictures when we

get it all setup.

Cheers Tom

Congrats! New rig is always fun...and exhausting. It's kind of like moving, only smaller. We had emptied out our last rig into the garage. It's amazing how much stuff you can get into a trailer. We've been spending the last 2 1/2 weeks systematically putting it into our new rig...well, most of it. Some things just don't make the cut and get retired.

You'll like the Alpine. Drive carefully and good camping!

Looks like rain for the next few days so won't be getting at anything on the outside till later next week unless the weather changes.

Congratulations on the new Alpine. FYI there are 2 Alpine Facebook pages too. For some reason the plug for the rear camera is wired to 12v constant power instead of the running lights. It’ll be interesting to find out if yours is that way too.

So after we had it home for a few days we found a couple of issues and have the trailer back at the dealer.

1: Backup camera no power
2: Carpet is torn in bedroom
3: trim on island has a split in the wood

So far they have repaired the camera and sent off the warranty issue to replace carpet and trim.

Tbos will see when I get it home if it is direct to power. Will let you know. Yes we are members of those FB pages as well.

Well got my trailer back from the dealer last Tuesday and everything was fixed up. Parked in the laneway opened up the trailer and my sliding door to the bathroom is hanging by one guide. Decided to repair that myself so that was fixed yesterday. So we decided to start packing and getting ready for the long weekend this weekend and the fridge has no AC to it. Turns out the plug in the outdoor compartment has no power going to it. Thanks to some help from FB group on that on. So trailer is off back to service centre again at 1 pm they are going to fix it for the weekend. Pretty disappointed with this so far. Spent a lot of money on it. I bought my 2016 forest river Heritage glen for half as much and never had an issue with it in the 2 years we owned it. The Keystone Alpine is suppose to be high end but I say high maintenance! well I hope when we get everything sorted out its a good trailer.

Just a thought here, but before hauling to the dealer, try resetting your GFCI. It's probably in the bathroom, or kitchen counter. It daisy chains to all outlets that can be reached from the ground. (As in dirt or grass etc.)

Had this happen on our 3535, a few years back. It drove me nuts for about an hour before I figured it out. Just hit the button and see if it comes back to life.

Good Luck,

One of the first things I checked. Thanks for the suggestion though

So back from the dealer. Was it the plug? Nope. Was it the junction under fire place? Nope. Was it the fuse panel / breaker? Nope it was the junction under the slide behind the black covering screwed to two pieces of 1x2 wood just resting on the black cover. Well all fixed now off on our maiden voyage tomorrow. Cheers everyone!
