Upgraded Mattress

We are picking up a 2018 premier 34BHPR Tuesday. My question is it says it comes with an upgraded mattress. Can someone tell me if this is any good or should we replace it. Our first camper came with a terrible mattress.

As Jim said, you'll know when you get it. What is acceptable to some isn't to others. Ours came with the "upgraded" mattress, "the best Keystone put into a trailer" as our sales guy said, and it WAS far better than any we had checked out, but still not comfortable as far as we were concerned. We bought a new, very nice residential mattress.

Usually upgraded mattress in an RV means if you put a 4" memory foam on top of it you will be able to sleep on it. Kidding! No really.

My Cougar came with the Ultimate Premium mattress which is a step up from the basic one that develops permanent depressions after 2 nights. The Ultimate was better but we tossed it and bought a very nice 8" gel foam mattress that we had purchased for a previous RV. Excellent improvement and worth every penny. Our RV came with a full size queen but we wanted a King but the slideout configuration doesn't work. We did have room to order an Olympic Queen which is 6" wider than a queen and 6" less than a king. I replaced the bed support with a 6" wider platform and we are happy campers!
