Hello from Cowtown, new rv owner

Hello from Calgary, AB.

Just brought home our new 2013 Passport UltraLite 5350BH Fifthwheel.

excited to learn more about these units, but most impressive is that this was a 1/2ton hauler. We have been trailer hunting for a year now, and literally found this unit last Monday, had the deal done by tuesday night, truck dropped off at dealer for hitch install thursday, and she came home yesterday.

I am adding airbags to the truck just as back up for leveling, but all in all she tows well and we are happy with our first trailer.

I am looking at adding shocks to the leaf springs of the trail as it was recommended by a few neighbors. any thoughts on that?

Lucky east-coasters get the Passport fivers. Still too pin-heavy for me.

Shocks on trailers are a rarity. It seems that most people think they’re more trouble than they’re worth. But if I had money burning a hole in my pocket, I’d get them. For that trailer, if it doesn’t already have them, the E-Z Flex mod would be a better first step.
