2016 Alpine

Shopping again, dealer says 2016 are shipping with Provider G tires, 4000 lb rating, M speed rating of 81 mph.

Any opinions of these? I have never heard of them. In April we looked at Alpines and they had Goodyear 614 on them. Another example of cost cutting?

I don't have any experience with them, but they are sold at Discount Tire. We've had a discussion about them on here before. Not many people with experience with them, but I haven't heard anything negative either. I'd say they are definitely better than the Tow Max tires that came on my 2013 Alpine.

On a side note, I had the same truck you have before we bought our Alpine, stepped up to a dually because of it. The Alpines are all about the same size/weight. My advice, if that's what you want, start shopping for another truck first.

Nice looking tires and all of them have the new mandatory speed rating letters.

I wonder how soft those tall treads are on the LRG 16" tire?

IMO the nylon overlay is necessary for the higher speed ratings.
