"I use a macerator pump to pump my tanks when needed. The only problem is that there was no place to plug it in. So I added a couple of 12 volt accessory plugs to give me some 12 volt power if I need it."
I carry a macerator "just in case". I carry an empty DEF barrel in the truck, and also a 20 gal. fresh water tank and a little whizzer pump for when the trailer might need a bit of fresh water.I usually carry 10 gals. or so all the time. The empty DEF barrel, which came free of charge from the CO-OP next door to my shop and the water barrel add little weight, but does add peace of mind. I ran a wire feed back from the batteries to just above the dump valves.
Once, and only once, I had to pack up and move the trailer about 20 miles and back to empty the tanks. The closest RV dump had been vandalized and was shut down. I decided that wasn't going to happen again.
