2016 Ram 3500 Dually

Looking to purchase a 2016 Ram 3500. Found at dealership some distance from me. Dealer sent pics showing bed with what appears (5) plugs in bed with one right in middle. Does this model come prepped for ball mount in bed already from factory? Any help would be appreciated!! It is a 4wd Dually..

The center plug is for the Ball. With the bed puck/ball mount system it is ready to tow. It will have the brake controller and the trailer plug receptacle.

More importantly what is the engine / transmission / ratio combination?

When we picked up the 2015 Ram 2500 with puck system, I had to bring my own brake controller in off my old Chevy 1500 Silverado. Luckily, it is a Tekonsha Voyager. I have read some ugly things about the Dodge RAM factory brake systems.

My 12 Ram 2500 CTD's TBC sucked big time. I put a P3 in until I got my 2018 2500 6.4. The TBC in the 18 is great. I have none of the issues of the 2012.
Guess I got lucky or Ram finally figured out the right software.

What does the acronym "CTD's" & "TBC" mean? What is a "P3"?

I am "TLA" ignorant!

Without knowing the full specs of the truck you're looking at, you should have about 5000 of available payload, before your hitch, and any additional cargo or added extras. What size (heavy) of trailer will you be pulling? You'll likely see a little bit of squat, but the truck should have no issues pulling. If you want the airbags to take away your squat (without adding payload capability) then add them, I don't see how they would be a must-have.

Well, you could always tow it a couple times (without bags) with the trailer loaded how you would normally tow, then, make your decision. what are your concerns about having vs. not having bags?

I put them on my 2016 2500 and did not want to purchase again if not needed. I'd rather go without and leave stock if it works thanks for your input....

No bags on my 3500 with 14k empty trailer. It is 4x4 so a little higher then 2wd normally. I would try it before adding bags unless you just want onboard air compressor.
