I rolled under the 5th this afternoon to lube the shackles. Getting ready to hit the road next weekend and wanted to scratch that off the list. I hit about 4 zerks and then nothing...no grease coming out. Dang it...that's what I get for bragging on the HF grease gun. Rolled out and put the gun in the vice, removed the barrel, no grease. Refilled with WalMart Marine grease and rock and roll.
The diaphragm gasket is leaking and max air pressure is 100?psi, but it still works.
Meanwhile a OEM manual gun is sitting in the workbench with a new cartridge of $10 Mobil1 grease and I can't get it bled off to pump.

Loosen up the tube the cartridge is in a turn or 2. Then pump it a few times,, if it's a manual gun,, meaning no electric or air,,,, pull the rod at the bottom out and push it back in,, do that a couple times. Then pump till you get grease coming out hose,, then tighten the barrel back up and should be good to go.

Make sure you took the caps off both ends of the grease tube,, you probably know that but I know people that have done that on one end

Getting the boat ready for the incoming salmon, I found grease on the inside of the wheel. Figured after many years of pumping grease through the bearing buddies I finally pumped to much. Nope, it was the fishing line wrapped around
the axle and into the seal. 4 bucks and 4 hours later, fixed and highway tested.
Now where's the salmon? I need some fresh fish that costs 3 to 4 times more than at the store.
