If a wobbly bouncy trailer is your problem this is not a solution.

I installed three of them when I installed the SRE4000. I feel like they give much more support to the spring hangers and the SRE 4000 does improve the ride.

This is an opinion, so take it for what it's worth....

There are many (maybe too many) enhancements for trailers and trucks. From air bags, sway bars, overload springs, improved shocks, lift kits, performance chips, silver screens for carburetors and much more, there are people who swear by them and just as many that swear at them....

As for the crossmember support system, it essentially strengthens the hanger assembly, making it less prone to twist and bend... Is that good or bad? It's good as long as it works and you don't overstress/overtorque the next structure in line.... That's the trailer frame rails/OEM crossmember system.

So, if installing the crossmember supports prevents the hangers from bending, that's a good thing, but if they set up the trailer structure so that the welds on the frame OEM crossmembers break or the frame rails twist or buckle, then all you've done is move the damage to the next most expensive to repair component....

Do they work to prevent the suspension from bending? Yup, but where is all that torque applied and are those components strong enough to carry the increased torque without damage? We're talking about a "minimally built from mild steel with Lippert welding skills" frame.....

If you have it and like it, great, if you're considering it as a mod, think through where you move the stress and make sure those parts are strong enough to not be damaged by the "improvement in rigidity" the crossmembers give you.... YMMV

I knew I didn't like all the parts hanging between the wheels from mor ryde products and something about braceing hangers to keep them from flexing or twisting out . I used Dexter EZ flex heavy duty suspension kit included wet bolts and hangers .

Our 2005 Cardinal got cracks in the I-Beams as a result of the stress the suspension transfer to the I-Beam. Lippert had a bulletin that they had not shared with the trailer manufacturers. The bulletin called for fixing the I-beam cracks and installing 2x2 square tubes between the hangers. The product noted here is a bolt on result of this issue.

2x2 with gussets to the hangers and all three hangers. I-beam was crack at four places. There was a lattice rack between the I-beams and the bottom rail of the lattice rack was welded to the web of the I-beams about 1.25 up from the lower flange so the belly pans above the axles could be above the lower flange of the I-beams over the axles. The flaps you see I cut in the belly pans were to move wiring etc away while they welded on the cracks. I sealed them up afterwards.

Fish plates were skip welded to I-beams with plug welds in the area of the cracks. Chris

My first clue of an issue was a slight ripple in the paint behind the top of each wheel. I little sanding revealed the issue.

The trailer towed much better after is repair. Chris

Thank you all for the replies, Sno King the "pictures are worth 1000 words".
My TT came stock with the CRE 3000 equalizer. I am planning a wet bolt kit as soon as things thaw out. Tires are on the list too.
My goal is to improve what came from the factory. We run with a full water tank to remote places. I make tight turns manuvering in the cul-de-sac that I live on. Alaskan roads are not the greatest frost heaves potholes etc. as there are two seasons Construction and Winter. I think this alone justifies some reinforcement of the spring and suspension hangers. I guess the bigger question would be how a suspension reinforcement would effect the extended warranty when the trailer was purchased? Especially if the stress is transfered to the frame and cracks the frame. I have seen the spring hangers boxed to reinforce them. So that may be another option for me.

Wet the pavement or throw down a little sand when making tight turns. I believe that the U-turns that I made at the end of our dead end street caused the frame cracks. Lippert is not going to go against their own bulletin. The cross braces whether welded on or bolted on are going to protect the frame rails not damage them.

Chris

I can see the extende hangers putting stress causing horizontal cracks. I'm a retired welder from open pit coal mines i understand fishplateing and perpendicular support . Luckily there wasn't any separation at the cracked I beam .

If not caught in time it starts ripping the I-beam apart. I was luck, as I read about the condition on a forum and took a tire off to look. It was two weeks before leaving for Arizona. Lucky I had a local welding/fab shop that got me in and did a great job of repairing it.

MorRyde is a good company with great customer service, I don't they would sell something that causes more problems. I've had good luck with the few items I've purchased from them.
As to Lippert frames cracking, that's been an occasional occurance since the 1st one rolled out, search any rv forum & you'll find at least one complaint.
No, I'm not affiliated with nor receive any compensation from MorRyde, just a satisfied customer.

If you read the fine print on the MorRyde Xfactors the SRE systems aren't warrantied without it. Now if they enforce that is another story but the verbiage is there.

I have three sitting here along with shocks and a wet bolt kit to put on mine once the EquaFlex equalizers ever get unstrapped from the turtle they shipped them on. If you've ever tried to jack up a TT from a corner and look at the level of flex they can't hurt IMO.

Sure will. Still trying to get an ETA on my equalizers. I have the 42" on center spread axles and the Equa-Flex unfortunately are the only game in town. MorRyde supposedly has them "in development" per my discussion with them but there's no ETA there. Seems the Equa-Flex are either really popular or really scarce.
