Has anyone added dimmers to the LED lights?

Just don't try to add dimmers to any lights also controlled by inCommand (which tend to have push-on-push-off switches) or you will make it unhappy.

Dimming LED's
Hello ,PWM speed controls work well .Any dimmer when set low will flicker when on batteries if a load comes on like the water pump, etc. The positive and negative fro light must be connected in and out of dimmer. This involves a bit of tracing as all of the grounds tend to be ganged together in the switch panel . I have run into grounds on keystone trailers interconnected out side of the switch panel . Thermostat,TV amps , roof fans and this is a FAIL unless you are willing to modify or run a separate ground to the lights you want to dim. I typically mount the dimmer after the rocker so the level is where it was set. A plus is they do reduce amp draw as well.I have been able to dim all lights except the newer style awning lights mounted to the arms. They individually drop out one or two at a time.

iN Command LED Dimmer
This is the dimmer I used. Easy install. Operates with a small handheld remote and once the level is set via the remote, the on/off rocker switches maintains that level.

InCommand tends to make the owner unhappy.

Dave727, so you just removed the wires off the BCM and moved them to that box you installed. IS that correct? Also you started the rocker still works, but I am assuming that if you took wired off BCM board, that you can't turn them back on by hitting the light button on the in-command touch screen.

Tim,
I removed both the green and white and the white wires from #14 & #15 on the iN Command BCM and attached them to V+ and V- on the dimmer unit. I then ran two pieces of 14 stranded AWG from DC+ and DC- on the dimmer unit to #14 & #15 on the BCM. In my case, the green and white and the white wires were long enough to reach the dimmer unit where I mounted it above the BCM.
The on/off function of the lights can now be controlled by the iN Command touch screen, the rocker switch, the app, and the dimmer remote. The dimming function is controlled by the dimmer remote.
