Unhappy Tank levels

Bought my 2012 Montana a little over a year ago and tank level indicators worked for about a month. I have gotten pretty good at guessing but would be nice to have again. Has anyone had experience with Seelevel? Is it worth the $$.

No experience with Seelevel, but like you, the more we camp the more we know what we can get away with. Initially I assumed the black water would be the first tank to cause a problem. Surprisingly it was running out of fresh water that was the first problem. The first drain tank to fill up is the kitchen sink gray water, which was also a surprise. We’ve gone 9 days dry camping without dumping, so although the geomethod has not worked for us and our black water gauge always shows full, we are pretty comfortable knowing that we don’t need to dump before we run out of fresh water (66 gal). Although we considered adding an exterior sensor system, we decided not to.

I used Caravan

I used a whole bottle of a sensor cleaner called Caravan in both gray and the one black tank. Filled them up with water and let it set for a week drained and flushed and all sensors are working again. YMMV.

Replaced the sensors in our old trailer with Horst Miracle Probes. They are not perfect, but they work better than the button sensors that came with the trailer. You can still use the existing Monitor Panel with these. The Seelevel sensor system is better, but very costly and you need to replace everything.
I plan on putting the Horst Miracle probes in our new trailer.
