No power on 12 volt system (new batteries installed)

I have recently changed the battery on the tongue of the rv. I installed 2 deep cycle 6 volt batteries. After completing this I have no power to the rv just on 12 volt. Shore power works fine. Does anyone know where the power inverter is located? After doing a bit of research, I was told that the inverter may need to be reset?

Hi and welcome to the forum! A year make and model would help for others with the same set up for possible locations. Are you sure you wired correctly, confirmed with a meter that you are getting 12v from your 6v batteries? If your battery leads touched the wrong posts, then likely blew fuses on your converter. The converter could be built into your fuse/breaker panel or mounted elsewhere.

Welcome to the forum!

You don’t have an INverter, you have a CONverter. It’s usually located just behind the breaker panel or is the bottom half. There are 2 fuses that will pop if the battery leads are hooked up wrong even if just for an instant.

Make sure the battery switch isn't off.

Be sure to post the solution to your conundrum. It will help others later with the same issue.

No power on 12 volt system (new batteries installed)

Since you installed two six volt GC2 batteries did you wire them in series? If not then you are only supplying 6 volts to the RV. Verify wiring at batteries.

Problem solved, there are 2 buss fuses located on the frame next to the batteries. I replaced the 12v x 50amp and it works fine
