New Bullet Owner from Palm Coast, FL

We recently traded in our 2016 Coleman 192RDS for a new 2016 Bullet 269RLS and really like the extra room, the floor plan and most everything. :-) I also got the dealer to install a second battery, since we boondock some, and an electric tongue jack. We pull it with a 2013 F150 3.5L Ecoboost Screw 4x4 Platinum with the Max tow package and 3.73 rear end. The F150 and the Bullet seem to be a very good combination. At this time we have only taken it out on the initial shakedown trip and all went very well. Since then I've installed an 1100W inverter, one Max Aire, a couple of curtain rods and curtains over the door windows, spice rack and a battery disconnect switch, etc. We have a portable 100W solar kit, but I may add a permanent couple of hundred watts or so of solar on the roof. I also just purchased a new Blue Ox Sway Pro WDH, but haven't installed and set it up yet. It is replacing the current EZ-lift WDH and friction sway bar that we had installed at the dealer last year when we bought the Coleman. We hope to have a lot of good miles, smiles and years with our new Bullet!

Congrats on the new trailer. I bought my Bullet 308bhs two months ago and have been out on two short shake down trips. So far, so good. I also bought the ez-lift friction setup. But after reading how much better active sway wdh behave, I paid the extra money for a Blue Ox hitch. Definitely, the way to go for safer, less white knuckle trips. I still have to sell the Ez-lift hitch as it was too heavy for return postage to amazon. It's brand new in the box. I also bought a battery disconnect for the battery box. Just haven't installed it yet.

Welcome.

Welcome. Pretty much the same here. New bullet two trips. Only issue was D seal on top of slide separated. Would like to see pics of your new bullet. Curious as to what kind of curtains you hung over your doors. Need to do that myself.

Tom: My wife sized, cut and sewed a piece of room darkening fabric and used two circular Velcro pads to hang as needed. Perfect!!

Congrats on Bullet

We just bought a 2015 248RKS Bullet and pick it up today. Downsized from Class A and looking forward to less expensive travel bills. Bought the 2016 Ford F-150 Lariat with auto trailer parking. My biggest concern is backing into the tight spots in Fort Wilderness that we frequent.
Good Luck......Bob

As for the curtains, we just bought the rods and pre-made curtains at Walmart to put over the doors because the door windows let in a lot of light in the morning. LOL. I've also added a battery disconnect switch and a 1100 Watt inverter with a separate outlet and remote switch.

That's about three miles from my home.

Mine came with the Aussie grill and bumper mount, but I took the mount off and never unboxed the grill because my wife had recently bought me little Weber Q1200 and I prefer to use it. I'm planning to sell the Aussie grill and mount.

Yea I used my grill last time out. It worked pretty good. Things I've upgraded were cabinet struts, a latch on the main rear door, stove top cover, Husky 4500 tongue jack and hung a few pictures.

Very nice! I think my wife wants struts on the cabinets, too. I have struts for the bed storage, but haven't put them on yet.

I gotta ask what the 1100 watt inverter was for. Also did your bullet come with LED lights

@silverbullet18: Where did you get your over-the-sofa cabinet struts from? Which size? I purchased a set from an ebay vendor on the cheap that are spring loaded. I will not be installing them as they don't seem to fit the application. They were only $10 for 6 of them.

We like to boondock some and the 1100W inverter with a separate electric outlet allows the use of a small electric broom or the toaster or even the microwave (although we've never used it for the microwave), etc. we do not use it to power the whole trailer, but it has come in handy a few times.

Yes, although I haven't pulled a cover to check for sure, our Bullet is supposed to have all LED interior lights according to the literature and the salesman.

These are the struts I bought. They are spring loaded too. But they seem to work good. Just installed so not sure about durability. They seem sturdy. I'm sorry I didn't specify about the led lights. I was referring to the strip under the awning.
