New Member From Florida!

Hello Everyone!

We are very new to this. So new we haven't purchased yet but that could come at any day. We have looked at so many different TT that my eyes are beginning to cross.

I have questions about my tow vehicle but I will pose those in the correct thread.

We are located just north of Daytona Beach, FL and will be weekend warriors for several more years. However, we have found that there are several places for us to load up with our Sheltie and Cocker Spaniel and enjoy some great weekend getaways.

I look forward to learning as much as I can and hopefully meeting new friends in the future.

to the forum from W TX! I think you will find that a trailer will give you lots of enjoyment. You might pose your towing questions in either the towing or tow vehicle categories.

Thank you sourdough!

Our children are grown and now it is just the two of us and are pups. We still have several years until retirement but I have some disabilities due to a spinal cord injury and I am not sure if I will be able to do much when I do hit retirement age so we are going to do it while I am still able.

I did pose my questions and it is really just a peace of mind thing from someone that actually knows and is not trying to sell me something.

Thanks again for the welcome!

to the Forum From Western PA.

You are right on by considering a TV up front along with your selection of trailers.

Shopping is Fun but could be dangerous.

ENJOY

IMO you are doing the right thing. In my life from personal observations and experiences, I determined a person needs to do all the things he wants to do in retirement....now. Too many folks wait, something happens and they miss the entire experience. So, go do those things you and the wife and pups enjoy and have fun NOW. Good luck.

Thank you PARaptor!

My TV is also my daily driver so I don't want to abuse her too bad.

The RV'ing was originally my idea and the wife was semi on board, until we started the shopping process and now it is definitely going to happen

sourdough,

That is my outlook on life. I have seen first hand how quick things can come to a grinding halt and I am not going to work, save and do absolutely nothing now so I can have a fat bank account and not be able to do anything when I retire.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. We are going for it!

When you get the RV you should have quite a few places to go have fun. I don't know exactly where you are but we spend a couple of months a year just a little S of Tallahassee. There are quite a few little fishing villages down the coast on hwy 98 and we love it down there. When you get some time you should try it out. Good luck on the purchase!!

Welcome from North Florida. We have many great camping opportunities in north central Florida. PM me for suggestions that I know you will love when you get the trailer.

Welcome from another newb from Florida. Wife and I just bought an Impact 303, living in Orlando. You got the right mentality. Play while you can, life doesnt play fair.

Thank you fla-gypsy and Jam2015!!

I am working on my CW salesman to get down a little more on price. He claims he is at "cost" now. I told him I have been in sales for 15 years and know there are some "not normal" deals stashed in the drawer somewhere lol.

There are a couple of RV shows this weekend, one in Jacksonville and one in Daytona Beach. We are hitting them both. Probably much of the same but I would continually wonder if I missed a super deal.

Hopefully this is THE weekend! I will definitely contact you Florida folks and hopefully we meet up at some point.

I'm 47 years old and feel like a kid leading up to Christmas

Welcome from Deltona, FL So many choices but it is so fun to shop. There are lots of great campgrounds here in Florida so you don't have to travel too far to get away from it all. Good luck on you search and have fun.

Thanks sourdough! The DW did a little shopping before we left. Just like my Harley, hundred dollar here and there lol. Oh well, time for the HD to go so we can start this new journey in life.

Jeff, congrat's to you and your family on the new trailer. We're in Clewiston right now enjoying this Florida weather (And riding every day!) Careful about selling that bike.....the trailer and the bike can get along!
