just some random questions

Some things I've been wondering about: I understand moderators, but what distinguishes members, junior members and senior members? And I see the little colored circle next to the username in a post (red or gray). What does this mean?

With the 5ver we upgraded to just before winter and the dramatic learning curve I've been going through regarding my TV this forum has been a wealth of information and I am spending a lot more time here. So a general thanks to everyone for the contributions to mine and my wife's safe travels!

Povo, Member ranking is done by post count, thus junior, member and senior. As for the dot next to the username ... gray is offline, green is online and I am embarrassed to say I don't know what red is. (It may have something to do with member blocking their activity but I am not sure) I am sure one of the other mods will jump at the chance to make me look inferior.
Okay .... I beat them to it .... the red dot means that the member has selected invisible mode and their activity is not shown.

Jumping in ...... the red dot signifies that the user is "invisible". Choosing to be "invisible" allows you to browse the forum without your user name appearing in the "Currently Active Users" list. If you want to be "invisible", go to the Control Panel >>> Edit Options and select Invisible Mode.

I just noticed that you (Hank) now have a red dot beside your user name. Are you wanting to hide? Disappear? Have you been a bad boy - again? You sneaky devil ----- I rushed to make you look bad but you "beat me to it". So did Javi.

Some might tend to look at "equality" but you've probably got it closest to the truth, Steve.... Some are "ranker" than others

Hmmmm I showered this morning and trust me, nobody is sweating around here today. High was 19 and currently it's 12 and snowing again. If I can ever get that darned pole barn door unfrozen.... As soon as it's above about 20, I plan to use urea to melt the ice and hopefully get the door open with no damage. Then it's install the hitch, load a few clothes and wait for clear roads through Ohio/Indiana/Tennessee and Arkansas.
