Sprinter 311BHS Recommendation?

Good morning all! We just a purchased a used, 2011 Sprinter 311BHS with almost every availbale option. We are a family of 5 with 3 young kids. We towed around a 2015 Jayco X213 and really enjoyed it, however, we decided to try permanent-seasonal camping for now. Because of this, we decided to "trade up" to a larger size for more comfortable living. The 311, albeit a few years older, is a huge step up, and it cost us less that what we sold the X213 for.

We purchased from the original owners who kept this thing parked on private land. It has limited travel time and seems be well taken care of. I am well versed in general RV systems and methods... I was/am fairly active in the Jayco forums but, I would appreciate any tips, tricks, mods or things to watch out for on this particular model. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum from Kansas City, MO! Glad you're here!

I would think that the biggest concern would be frequent roof inspection and maintenance. Hadn't really thought about it until now as we use our trailer to go!

Thank you... I was able to get up there and take a brief look at the rubber roof... no signs of patches, bubbling etc. Would it be worth "investing" in a a few rolls of Eternabond and cover all the existing Dicor, or, buy a few tubes and recover what's already there?

That's been asked before and the consensus was do not Eternabond the seams. Once it's on it stays on and makes further repairs very difficult. Just reapply the correct Dicor product for your roof type in suspicious areas. You could redo all of it, but may not be necessary. It depends on what you are comfortable with.
