2016 or newer no coating is recommended. It is an Alpha TPO membrane. Here is what the manufactor says:
The Alpha roof membrane is quite inert and will resist weathering well; nor does it require the periodic application of products to protect it from ultra-violet light or ozone. In fact, these products can often cause damage to the roof membrane.
While inspecting the roof during cleaning, it is also important to check the lap sealant used in all termination areas. Inspect the existing sealant around all accessories and fasteners for signs of cracking or voids.
If additional sealant is needed, Alpha’s 1021 and/or 1010 sealant can be ordered nationwide at RV Dealers or online by visiting
www.alphallc.us. Please note: only Alpha brand sealants can come in contact with Alpha roof membrane.
TPO – No coatings are necessary, as TPO is not a rubber, it is a plastic. The coatings made for rubber roofs will not adhere well to the TPO roof and will peel off much sooner
than they would off a rubber roof. A TPO roof does not wear away and get thinner over time the way rubber roofs do, which is why a coating is not necessary.
