New 2015 Passport mods
Warmed up today and started to do some mods to my new passport 3290BH. First one was a battery disconnect. Quick and easy mod that shuts all power off to the camper. No more battery drain from the propane detector.

Next was a heater insect screen. This was a little tricky since the dealer says the new Atwood heater doesn't have a screen designed for it yet. So, I found one a little bigger and used rubber auto trim to help reduce the chance of scratching the fiberglass. (Removed the small glue strip inside it so it would not liquefy when the heater was on). Hoping they have the specific one in the works soon. Sorry pic is turned 90 degrees.

On the battery disconnect, is the red handle a removable key? Could you point me towards what you need to do that one, I was going to do something similar last year, but never got around to it...maybe this year.

Yes it is. There is also a brand called Marinco that we install. The knob is also removable:

Here is the switch that I put in. The key is removable when the power is in the shut off position. The only other thing I needed was a additional 18 inch negative battery wire. The switch was from Amazon. Real easy addition. Took about 30 min and most of that was drilling the mounting holes.

One additional mod I didn't get a chance to post yesterday was my porta tank bracket. After constructed, the bracket was then painted black and foam A/C insulator tubes were put on the uprights and attached to the trailer bumper with the U bolts for a trailer hitch which I use for a bike rack. After putting it all together I noticed the license plate was covered and have to think of a mod to move that.

I like that it comes with an "L" bracket. I'll add that to my list.

Looks good. You might be able to move the bracket to the other l ight or just switch the 2 lights on the back.

Finally got the hatch lift bed system in and installed. Another pretty easy mod.

I know this is an older post, but I was curious what brand receiver you went with or was it completed custom welded.
Thanks

Dodgeman hasn't been on since around October of 2016. Just wanted you to know.
