Sealant Around A/C

I just got my new Springdale 303bh and am about to take it out for the first time this next week.

We had some really hard rains here in the Houston Texas area a few weeks ago and I noticed water inside just under the AC unit. I couldn't tell where it came from but my suspicion was it came in around the AC unit. As I looked on top the trailer I see sealant around everything but the AC unit. Is there a reason why you wouldn't want to put the self-leveling sealant around it? Looks like an oversight from when it was put in but, before I jump on the roof and lay-down some beads I though I'd ask the pros.

Thanks in advance for any comments / advice.

There is a foam gasket used, no Dicor. If you take off the ceiling panel you will find a long screw at each corner of the opening. You can tighten them evenly and it should fix the issue. The foam gasket should be compressed to about 1/2 it’s original thickness. Since it sounds like your seal is leaking, just tighten them all slowly and evenly in an alternating pattern.

Thanks Chuckster! I'll do that. Beats having to get on the roof.
