Border Crossing
We plan on crossing the Into the U.S. with our 36ft 5th Wheel next weekend for the first time.
We will cross at the Thousand Islands crossing from Ontario into NY.
I have done quite a bit of research and have learned a fair bit as well, but cannot find any information on whether there is a special lane for RV's at that crossing?
Do/Can I use the truck/commercial vehicle lanes?
Anyone with any insight?

We were instructed to use the auto lanes when pulling our fifth wheel buy the border crossing personnel. Enjoy your trip, we really enjoyed the Thousand Island area.

We have always used the automobile lanes when crossing the border into the USA.

Thanks for the replies folks.
I'll stick to the car lanes and hope for the best

What documentation do you need for pets? We are heading to the US in a few weeks with our 2 little 4 legged things. All shots are up to date etc. but do we need their full shot records or just the rabies? Kind of getting conflicting information.
Thanks

AFAIK it's only the proof of rabies Vaccination that is required, but if you have anything else, by all means, have it available to show.

Also, The Wife called that Border crossing today just to double check, and was told DO NOT use the truck/commercial lanes. Use the regular/Auto lanes.

The biggest problem we have found is getting back into Canada. Have all documentation for your pet re: rabies, distemper, etc. Going into the US I have found rabies documentation is what they want primarily. Believe it or not we were asked if we had bought the dog in the US while returning home. Nice to have a Canadian bill of sale for your pet.

Not sure about your documentation, but ours include the name, address, phone number and signature of the Vet that performed the exam/shots. I would have to assume that would be proof enough of the animals' "citizenship"
