Adding extra batteries to Fuzion 345

Wanting to add two more batteries to my 2015 345 Fuzion but keystone isn't making it easy with only one tray. Where's everyone putting extra batteries?

I think our battery locations are the same, forward pass side cabinet. I added a tray directly below the factory one.

Were you able to buy a tray or did you build one?

Built it. 1x1 angle, 1 in flat bar for supports. Can shoot you a pic if you wish.

Only holds one, so may not work for you. Could put on other side beside hydraulics.

I had a local metal shop brake a piece of 10 gauge plate then had a buddy weld it in place. It's tight but they will fit.

You may also do a search on the forum for say battery rack, battery expansion. I recall many proposals presented by members

Ah, I see how you got the other one in there. You dropped the new box down so it cleared that gusset. Nice job.

I have two 6v AGM batteries and added a dedicated generator battery so it would always start even with low house batteries. I had to add a trickle charger to keep it charged since the gen does not replenish a charge to its starter battery. My 17 345 had an upper and lower battery tray.

Build it as described with angle iron. Use battery boxes and vent them. Secure those batteries. Its worth your time to do it well.

Battery placement

Not sure about the Fuzion but I have a 32' Keystone Everest and I added an extra battery in the storage compartment right behind the battery compartment. Drilled a hole in the wall separating them an ran cables through the hole. I fastened the spare battery to the wall with a cargo strap to make sure it would stay put. This was a fairly inexpensive way to do it for a DIY'er. There is room for more batteries there if a person wished to do that.
